I recently got a bunny and want to eventually let him graze in the backyard.

What plants are safe and unsafe?

The lawn is not treated but we have a lot of random little flowers not limited to: buttercups, clover (the white kind), violets- two types, dandelions (safe), and 3-4 unidentified flowers that come back each year, as well as morning glory (which I pull cause its invasive).

We also have two maple- regular and Japanese that drop leaves and such down.

So can I safely let him out to graze in a pen or would this yard be unsafe?

          Buttercup – No
          Morning glory (bindweed?) – No

Wild violets/pansies (Viola) are safe. Clover and dandelions are safe. I don’t know what to say about the unidentified flowers. What do they look like?

          Maples are safe.

I can take some pictures and see if it will let me post
One is numerous smaller- dandelion sized vertical plant. Purple with multiple almost large bead like flowers on it.
One is more cuplike bigger white flowers, thicker stem and flat leaves- multi flowers on stem
and the third has yet to bloom, but there is only one.

I live in Central OH if that helps

            No buttercup, got it

We have had a very wet winter spring, ground just won’t dry out. I’m pretty sure I have an outbreak of Coccidia. I have a large number of domestic rabbits that live in my yard free range as well as some I keep in large pens. I have no idea how to address the issue. I cannot conceive of a way to treat my whole (large) yard. Any help? Any suggestions? Please!!!!
I took some stool samples to my vet today and dropped off to be tested to verify, but i’m pretty sure.

If that’s what it is, then that is toxic to rabbits. Things in the hyacinth family are listed on the toxic plant lists.
