I may be over reacting but my bun was sent home with a bunch of meds. I had her in the burrito and was set to give her 1.4 ml of Raglan, a little poured out during our struggle but I managed to get the syringe in her mouth. The plunger got a little stuck and when I gave it a little more pressure it all shot into her mouth at once! I freaked out and made sure to give her plenty of time to swallow before I even tried the next mes. She seemed to take everything ok and she definitely seems fine, but after our first bout with GI stasis I am on edge about everything. Would I know right away if she aspirated? Am I going to have to be concerned about pneumonia now?

        Sincerely,

Concerned bun mom who is still stressed from stasis scare

I would think that if she had aspirated some that you would have noticed her coughing or spluttering immediately afterwards. If she didn’t do that, I think you’ll be ok. Just keep an eye on her breathing and if you notice it becoming noisy or crackly etc then you’ll need to get her checked out.
