I am trying to find the most nutritional pellets for my two little buns. They are both 11 weeks old. I was told by the breeder that these pellets may not be sufficient as they didn’t work for a customer she had previously. I’m aware that giant flemish’s need special nutrition because they are so large, but i have also heard great reviews of the oxbow pellets so i would really like to give it a shot. It is an alfalfa meal based pellet.
Any success with this product and your Flemish?

Alfalfa has lots of calcium. Offer oxbow pellets at 1/4 cup at a time and make the readily available. Alfalfa hay is also good for building lots of good weight when their young. My vet told me that when you approach the ABRA minimum weight start slowing down their intake to keep them healthy and swirch gradually to timothy or orchard and the timothy oxbow at 1/8 cup.

Until 7 months or so, feed unlimited pellets. The oxbow alfalfa ones are great and designed for babies and teens who need the extra nutrients (such as the calcium) to develop and grow. Large breeds reach full size more slowly than smaller breeds, so a good pellet will help support that slow but constant change.
