Before I explain, I understand that this was my fault. I should have remembered what was going on with my rabbit, not my parents.

My family is leaving for a week. My older brother is staying home while we leave, and he can feed, let her out, watch her, etc. But I forgot that he was going to have to brush it every day due to her molting… And he has never brushed her before… I don’t want her to get seriously ill while we are gone. What should I do?

I was going to see if I could maybe put it at a daycare, or something of that sort.

        I am just extremely stressed.

Depending on where you live there might be a few places. But since your sibling is staying home why not take some time and introduce him how to groom your bunny? If it’s just a molt a few lessons on picking up and preparing should be simple enough up If he’s willing to let her out.

Also just a thought but try not to label topics as emergency as people might get the wrong idea unless it’s a bunny 911 sutuation. Maybe “need help on bunnysitting with molt”?

Thank you BanditCamp for pointing that out. Yep, the “emergency” about gave me a heart attack.

Does you bunny have short hair? If so, then I think he will be fine with whatever brushing your brother can manage. I mean, honestly, what’s the worst that can happen? As long as you bunny likes eating lots of hay, there is little worry about ingesting fur. The hay keeps everything moving, you know.

Does you bunny like to be pet? Could your brother just wet his hands and run them over your bun? Or could be “pluck” the loose fur? This is assuming he isn’t able to manage brushing him. I will often pluck Leopold. He will be eating or whatever and I will use my fingers to gently pinch the loose fur that’s sticking out. Hehe, OK, so sometimes I vacuum him too using a hose attachment. He doesn’t appreciate being brushed but could care less about the vacuum.

Lol I wish I could vacuum my bunny. He like to play tag with it and zoomies around
