My Holland lop rabbit is in a iris 4 panel pen. She lifts the cage up to get out and i have no idea what I could do to keep it secured on the floor. She literally escapes only minutes after putting her in there. I hate putting her in a small cage at night time but I have dogs and thats the only way to keep her safe. Help! I’ll be willing to buy a different pen if needed.

I do t think it’s more about the pen but more about the space. A 2x2ft pen seems kinda small for a rabbit my bunny is quite strong and at 3 months can flip and move a 2 foot 6 lb piece of 2×3.

Bandit doesn’t try to escape but he will rattle his cage if he wants out (and I will if it’s appropriate) is there any way you could expand his space by a size of 2ft x 4ft so he has the ability to hop at least 3 times? I have nic plans on my signature if your willing to try

Tie bricks or weights to the pen on the floor on the outside of the pen, thats what i have to do.
Four panels? One in each direction making a square? Hmmmm another four would be nice to extend it

It’s not as big as I would like but she’s only in it at night and is free range the room all day.

The bricks would do or even some 2x4s zip ties to hold. Also note that rabbits can jump very high and if you weigh down the pen your rabbit will look for other means of escape namely up and over or try to dig through the carpet.
