Due to a constant runny nose, Sampras has managed to remove a lot of the fur on the inside of his forelegs.
I was wondering did anyone have any suggestions on helping this?
He’s only got one tooth so it’s unlikely he can chew a bandage but im worried it will be abrassive to his delictae little nose, and not absorbant enough to help with the dicharge..

Short of wrapping some cotton wool around them to help rest the skin and helping to wipe away the discharge on his nose im lost as to what to do.

I have no idea how you’d achieve the equivalent of a bunny hankie without irritating his poor booplesnoot. All I can think of is frequent nose wipes (dabs) with a clean moist soft cloth and diaper rash type cream on his legs Poor little guy (((Sampras)))

Thanks Q8 I have been tryiong the frequent cleaning, but the problem is it’s still not gonna be all that effective (plus I dunno if I can sustain waking up 4-5 times in a night to clear his little nose)

I just feel that nebulising him, getting his face washed, being syringed antiobiotic and then having my constantly wiping his nose is just a lot for him to deal with(although heis a litttle trooper about it!)

Of course. I totally understand your concern. Let’s hope someone knows something we don’t

The only thing I can think of is to create a protective layer on the skin of his legs by using specific ointments that are then absorbed by the skin (and so won’t go into his nose). Personally for K’s urine rash I’m using a neem oil based product called Hypermix (don’t know if it’s sold outside of EU…). Once I’ve massaged it on his skin it creates a protective film. Surely it’s not a long term solution, but it might bring some relief maybe?

I had though some sort of barrier cream would help too. But I suppose he’ll end up wiping a lot on his face when he goes to clean the discharge away?

For bandaging, maybe that tubular stuff you can get on a roll? So you can keep changing it?
