Ok so! I have posted a few times before about both buns of mine. Images below We have had Elmer(White/brown) since last december (she’ll be 2 in september) and Harvey since this september ( he’s 8 months) They are spayed and neutered and pretty decent with each other. Im not convinced that they are completely bonded because there is no grooming(I will often catch them mutually offering each other their heads for a nice groom session but neither of them will give in and do it) and they will often lay by each other but not cuddled. They do eat with each other no problem and there is absolutely no fighting. HOWEVER with Elmie being our first bun she has had complete control over our second bedroom for quite a while before Harvey has come along and any time he tries to go in there, more specifically under the bed where she always lays (under strict supervision) she LUNGES full force at him. She never bites him and never tries to box. Naturally he runs the hell away.

Lately I am noticing more differences with her and I am not sure what to make of it, maybe my anxiety is getting the best of me. She has always been very shy and timid but lately she has been more adventurous and playful. I cant complain about that honestly. She never used to want to be in the front room with us but now she always wants to come out and for the most part be around Harvey. One day I went over to the corner where they hang out and she BOLTED away through the blinds, smack dab into the couch, and then back again. Shes often run away but never like that. She has also started lunging at me from underneath the bed when I go to feed her or touch anything of hers. Today I went to pick the hay up off of the floor and put it back in the box and she didn’t appreciate me doing that at all. This next one may be silly but whatever XD She has started lounging more, not a flop but she slowly stretches out into a lay with her feet kicked out to the side and sometimes she will loaf but with her two front feet stretched wayyyyy out front. Shes ridiculous lol

I dont know or what to make of her behavior. Is this normal for her personality to become more bold since Harvey has been around? Are these little things I’m noticing just me being nitpicky and OVERLY cautious? ***I constantly worry that either of them are dead or dying so maybe it is juse me lol I’m a freeeeeakkkk!! Somebody agree with me so that I can calm the hell down, these two are going to give me a damn heart attack without even doing anything lmao

Well I don’t really have any advice since I’m not bunny expert but they are really cute. I constantly worry about my bunny being dead or dying too so you’re not alone with that craziness!

The super-hero rabbit pose is one of many lounging positions rabbits’ have in their arsenal, so nothing too alarming there.

I’m not experienced with having two rabbits, so this is not an educated response. My initial thought is, perhaps Elmer is beginning to feel like her space is being more and more encroached upon because Harvey is there now; it seems especially so since they are not 100% “bonded”. Maybe she’s getting more sensitive about her spaces in general, which may be why it’s transferring over to you as well?

              Also. They’re so cute.
