I have an 8-week old holland lop. I know bunnies breathe fast, but I’m wondering if she is breathing too fast? I tried taking a video but it won’t let me attach it

You can upload your video to Google drive or someplace else and share the link!

          Couple questions:
          1) Can you hear the breathing?
          2) Does it sound like It’s struggled breathing?
          3) Does it occur after exercising, or all the time?
          4) Does the heart beat rate and intensity get more intense as well?

This may be silly, but rabbits move their nose a lot. Is that what you’re reading as breathing?

Here is the google drive link. Look at her sides, that’s what I was referring to.
I can’t hear the breathing and it doesn’t sound struggled. It happens when she is laying down “relaxing”. Her heart beat is fast but I’m not sure if it’s normally fast. She doesn’t seem to be in any pain, I just wanted to make sure she was okay.

Nikki, based on the video, this does seem pretty unusual. I don’t recall a time I’ve seen my rabbit’s sides move so fast, even with a rapid heart beat. Do you have an exotic vet in your area? I would recommend doing a visit. It could be rapid shallow breathing, which may be a negative health consequence stemming from something.

It’s also good to get your rabbit into the vet at this time too, since they are young and need a good, general examination to make sure everything is A-okay! Wick’s first vet visit was when he was around 8-9wo.

My bandit breathes that fast and the room is quite cool so it’s not overhearing. I chalk it to him being a baby and still small and I remind myself that rabbit breathe 30-60 breaths a minute. He still seems happy and plays so I don’t think there’s anything wrong. If you see any HUGE changes in behavior maybe
