I need help. My newest bunny who is a hollen lop male. (Unfixed, has unfixed female not yet introduced) he keeps humping me and my brother constantly. My other netherland dwarf bunny male doesn’t do this the most he does is bite the bars. My hollen lop is one year old. Please help! I want to hold and play with him without worrying he’ll humping me. I can’t get him neutered because I plan to breed him with my other female. Is this normal? Why is only one male humping us?? We have for bunnies 2 males and 2 females also 4 3 week old babies. Help!!

          Welcome Bun bun mom

I would say this is due to him being able to smell an intact female rabbit in the house. It’s a new environment for him and he’s probably on sensory overload. Also, if it’s spring in your part of the world, there can be a surge in their hormones this time of year.

Please be aware that the subject of intentional breeding is prohibited on the Binky Bunny forum.

              That’s alright.

Perhaps you could provide him with a stuffy toy? Sometimes people do this when their rabbit has just hit puberty and the hormones are going crazy.
Rabbits sometimes hump when stressed or excited, and to display dominance.
