I was playing with bun and he hopped off the couch onto the floor (couch is like 1ft clearance from floor to couch) which bent his nail

I looked at it and there is no breakage in the nail whatsoever, its just bent back. He started licking it for a few minutes and went back to his daily routine prancing around. The nail didn’t bleed at all, and hes acting like nothing happened. What should i do?? His name is Max, lionhead, 2 1/2 years old.

Doesn’t seem like it’s hurting, maybe it’s a small break or numb I would go see a vet for an xray to be safe or at least get looked at. You can also apply gentle pressure and see if that causes an immediate reaction

It bent back and returned to normal, or it bent back and is still in that position? Do you have a pic?

I don’t think you need to do anything except keep an eye. If he’s acting all normal, no limping, no blood etc and he’s eating, drinking and pooping like he should, this will most likely not cause any further problems of any serious nature.

Sometimes a bent or hurt nail can grow out crooked, my bun has a crooked nail. It never seem to bother him at all.
