My two buns have me so confused as to who is Top Bun. They are not neutered but there hasn’t been any actual reason to separate them yet. Actually Tiddles got a LOT more stressed when we tried before we knew their gender.

I’ve done some reading to figure this out, but that just has me more confused. Mostly because everything I read said that Top Bun would beg/demand to be groomed and usually would not reciprocate. Between the two of them Tiddles is the one begging to be groomed. Frisk doesn’t ask to be groomed, outside of coming to us for pets.

Outside of grooming it looks like Frisk is Top Bun???

Frisk has done a little humping, and once or twice has done some circling, but quickly stopped when we intervened. All through these instances Tiddles goes into a submissive position. Then all is well and they’re back to playing and cuddling happily. Frisk chins EVERYTHING. Stick your hand in their cage? Chin. Toys? Chin. Play pen panels? Chin. Sitting on the floor with them during play time? Chin. Here a chin there a chin everywhere a chin chin. Spraying has been minimal so we haven’t actually had a problem with this.

They’re going to be neutered soon once Tiddles has gotten over his URI.

Sounds like a territorial battle? Normally the rabbit that presents itself lower when face to face is the submissive one.

When rabbits are bonded, they’ll usually groom each other. I feel like my girl bun is the dominant one but she grooms my boy more than he grooms her.
