Hello, new to this website but I hope you can help!
I have a mini lop female bunny called Bonnie who has been neutured
But I have just rehomed a new bunny called Tim. Tim has a medical condition where he can’t be neutured maybe ever because his testicals are in his abdomen. If his testicals both drop then I could get it done but for no its not possible. Both are young bunnys and both have been professionally bonded and they get on like a house on fire! Due to tims medical problem he is a small bunny, he’s been at my house for 2 days now (forgot to mention they are both indoor bunnys)
First he was timid which is to be expected in a new environment and new people, but he’s getting there. He isn’t use to house noises (floor board creeping, shower noise etc ) and always runs to Bonnie when scares or thumps. But last night, in a very quiet house he was thumping ALL NIGHT ! and I do not know why, I ended up having to go into the room a good few times to give him a cuddle to see if that would calm him down to which He was happy enough to be cuddled but this didn’t stop him.
The rabbits have there own room which is a very good size for them so they are free to roam about in the room so it can’t be him wanting to be out his cage when his cage is constantly open for them to hop it and get a drink,
        Any suggestions? Many thanks

Rabbits thump to alert others of possible danger, if directed at humans for example if you were chasing him he might thump to show your annoying him.

Tonight I would sit in the room and maybe listen for any noises that might scare or alert them (like a bramch hitting a window?) Keep us updated and see what happens.

Bandit said it all about the thumping.

However my big boy had one testicle that wouldn’t drop and was neutered – they do it the same way they would a female and ‘spay’ them. It is possible, just wanted to let you know xx

              Thank you for the replies.
I Sat in the room to which I could find a problem, but the I had a smart idea about facetiming myself. I put my ipad in the rabbit room and i had on my phone so i could observe what was actually going on when i wasn’t there and if something was happening when i wasnt there. I couldn’t see anything that could indicate the problem but I messaged the woman who owns the pet shop to see what she would suggest also, she feels as though he is pretty much telling everything that this is his rabbit ( bonnie) as to be honest he is completely obsessed with her, but she is going to get in touch with a specialist who has knowledge on rabbit with his condition to see if it is worth getting the one testicle which has dropped done, and see what we can do from there, there could be a chance that he could get both done but we shall see. I have also thankfully now been able to get plug in, in the room as they came back in stock today so hopefully i shall see some improvement.

Regarding the second comment- This was very interesting I think Ill go speak to the lady at the shop and she can mention it to the vet when he goes see what they say ( Mandy is a very hands down shop owner, the animal care comes over the business any time so she wants to help out trying to get him settled and also will be getting the op done for me as usually she gets them done before they get rehomed but this couldnt be the case at the time)

              xx

She might feel threatened by the other rabbit, make sure you practice good bonding habits as it is spring

Okay quick update, he will be getting his one ball removed. Me and the owner of the pet shop I got him from have come to this agreement as he is now peeing all over my other rabbit, he and my other bunny do get along very well but I can’t have him keeping everyone up and peeing all over her so he is booked in for the 20th
