So Louis is a baby bunny only 9 weeks old.

Very sociable, chilled and happy. Lots of outstretched lying down and lots of binkys.

Usually follows me around and climbs up to come see me on the sofa all night up and down for treats (rolled up hay as he’s too little for proper treats).

Tonight he won’t come near me. Don’t know what I have done. He is fine with my partner and his kids. Won’t let me near him and won’t come see me even for any treats.

What can I do? It is upsetting me so much he is the first pet I have ever had, I have done everything I can to make him at home and I know it’s only one day but he is so different from how he was last night.

Please any advise I am so sad tonight, it breaks my heart he doesn’t seem himself.

He’s just a lil baby! They have lots of mood swings. Prepare for the worst when he gets to be around four months old haha. I wouldn’t worry about it!

Make sure first that there isn’t a medical reason. Check if the rabbit eats and drinks normally, and if he pees/poops properly. When in doubt, empty the litter box to monitor his “output”.

Luckily, most of the times there’s no medical reason, but rather an emotional one.

Rabbits are quite emotional, temperamental and opinionated. It’s all part of rabbit life, they can be quite dramatic and easily offended. I found this website to be really helpful in learning how to read rabbit behaviour: http://language.rabbitspeak.com/

BTW, does he have a cinnamon colour? I love the look!

Any new smells on you? I know if I go into my buns place smelling of the dogs they both turn their noses up

New smell? New look (clothes style or haircut for examples)? Is the lighting in his room different than usual?

You guys are amazing. Really put my mind at ease. Yes cinnamon, grey, and blue tinged with black nose – I adore him! He seems more himself today, reckon he was in a bit of a bad mood he’s very cuddly and loving this morning. Thank you all so much I love this site x
