His eyes : Q8 thank you for the wonderful chamomile tip! It’s worked ! No just waiting for the wee amount of fur he lost from the matting around eyes to grow back

EC treatment : on day 21 of treatment we bleached all we could and replaced what we couldn’t bleach and got him his own cage ( he was in a playpen first 3 weeks ) and got him new blankets as you are meant to for the spores life cycle. His area is quite bare at the moment for the 7 days until day 28

Day 28 is in 4 more days then we repeat the replacing blankets and the bleaching and then he has a stash of new toys and seagrass mats and replacement teddy waiting then that will be behind us. 2 weeks more then meds after that to be safe.

I’m still not convinced it’s EC, he def was irritated by the unventilated glass tank he was in before we got him and the sawdust they had him on. I think that lead to his conjunctivitis
I also think the glass made his scanning worse as it was harder for him to focus – he has ruby cast to his eyes and scans like a rew and he scans on a angle downwards still now which could possibly have been the “head sway ” – it’s not as frequent now but he isn’t in a stupid glass tank now he’s adopted us so who knows

He’s uber cuddly – loves picked up – cuddles for a hour easy – loves being wrapped like a baby in a blanket and loves his teddy
He’s an absolutely amazing wee guy and we are so lucky to have him

I’m happy too he has improved – yay, Boston! Lucky guy who got to “adopt” you =)

My Bam scans, he’s always done that. I’ve always thought it was his lop ears that obscured his vision. He’s all black with dark eyes. My up-ears bun never scanned.

Boston has brown eyes with ruby cast – its def not a “typical” scan as it looks like a head sway as it goes on a downward angle , so I can see why the vet said it’s not a scan – but I’m pretty sure it is a scan due to the times he does it and his reaction afterwards etc

I guess we will have to wait to see what happens in the future ( worsens or reoccurane if other symptoms or new symptoms) to rule out EC but either way he is going great right now

That’s his new cage set up with new fiddle sticks and new toys
New pen will happen in a few days and he has hideaways and tunnels for in that
