I know its normal for buns to chew on just about everything, but I am trying to get them to chew on their TOYS (which are wooden chew toys!) and boxes instead of the house…any ways to get them to?? I try to divert them to toys when I catch them, but it doesnt seem to work. Maybe just time and repetition? I don’t understand why they prefer the doors or why they wont stop

I have learned through trial and error that covering up what the buns like to chew on is the only way to stop them, at least with my persistent bunnies. They chew the carpet under my bed like crazy– after months of trying everything in the book, I finally gave up and just bought a cheap rug to put under my bed so they chewed that instead. They also like the baseboard at my parents’ house, so I just have to bring lil baseboard protectant things to their house whenever we visit.

          Bunnies are rough:p

Also, I’ve noticed my bunnies don’t touch their toys. Their favorite toys include the tubes you connect hamster cages with and my real set of keys (and they have their OWN SET OF BABY KEYS THEY NEVER TOUCH!)

I have resorted to covering the edges of the doors with macaroni and cheese boxes- LOL! Thanks for the tips

When I first got my bunny I bought her plenty of toys and she just peed on them haha I stopped buying her any because she doesn’t use them!!! She likes to chew of my door boarders and carpet… from time to time she also steals my keys. One day I couldn’t find them and I was looking everywhere and I went to go look for her under my bed because that’s where she likes to be and long behold! My keys. She’s chewed on my carpet but only in the corners… I want to get her to stop before she destroys my apartment
