HI! My name is Starla, and I’ve been stalking these forums for months now learning everything I can before I brought home my own bunny. I finally joined and I am blown away by the amazing community! But enough about me.

I met Max yesterday, and I instantly fell in love. He was curious and confident from the moment I put him in the carrier to when he finally settled in his new bed to take a nap. I don’t know much about his personality yet, but I’m excited to watch him grow up!

Max was born February 3rd, so he is just under two months old. He is fully weaned though, and loves hay and pellets. He is a black Dutch, and was one of a litter of three. I plan to get him neutered. I’ll upload pictures as soon as I figure out how!

I’m so happy to meet all of you, and I LOVE to talk (as you can probably tell

Welcome Starla and Max It’s great to read your bubbling enthusiasm for Max’s arrival. It’s also great to hear Max was able to plop down and relax so quickly. Looking forward to pictures!

I can’t wait to get home today and spend some time outside of his cage just talking to him. He seemed interested in listening to me talk to my boyfriend on the phone last night, so I plan on doing my homework out loud or even reading to him. Maybe Max will encourage me to actually practice Spanish for once!

And Limit, I promise I’ll upload some pictures of him when I get home!

Your story sounds very similar to mines.

                    This forum is so informative!

Finally got some pictures! I gave him a strawberry to nibble on and he loved it. It seemed like a lot at one time, so I only let him eat half. I hope that was okay

I laid on my belly in the xpen that is connected to his cage and read him The Phantom Tollbooth (my favorite book). He crawled all over my back and even tried to play with my hair! I didn’t try to pet him, he lets my hands get close but flinches if I accidentally touch him and then shakes his head and acts like he just smelt something really gross. I think it’ll just take time.

At one point, I felt him pressing against my side. I didn’t turn to look because I was worried he’d run off, so I don’t know if he was just huddled or if he was stretched out. But I think we’re gonna be friends in no time! Thanks again to everyone, this forum is so helpful!

I have to keep Max from coming out sometimes, he hops right up to the door in the mornings ready to explore! He is such a friendly little dude!

Half a strawberry is fine if it’s only once in the day! Wick loves strawberries as a treat too!

                          He looks great and comfortable
