When I got my first rabbit she came with a water bottle. When I had her spayed I was having a hard time getting her to eat and drink afterward so I put a bowl in….What a mistake (for us) she never used it. It always was covered in hair even though it was changed twice a day. She still wasn’t drinking so I worried maybe her bottle wasn’t working right even though I kept checking it. It all ended up being due to her spay she needed more pain meds. BUT…it gave me an idea that makes ME feel better. I use 2 water bottles per cage. That way if one does plug or something she will always have the other one to use. She actually uses both bottles now and I feel better being a bit safer about her becoming dehydrated. Just a simple idea!

Good to hear your bun came through her spay ok . It’s definitely a good idea to have two water sources for your bun. Luna has a water bottle and a water bowl; in case one plugs/spills and just because sometimes she only drinks from the bottle while other times she favors the bowl.
