        Hello all,
So I recently got a new bunny who is i think 2 months old. The place i got him from only fed him pellets but i slowly have been introducing hay into his diet aswell.
The problem is, i got the hay from a local farm that has goats, sheep, horses and they hay texture is a little bit too hard, almost wood like. Im not sure if this will be okay for my bunny? Although he loves eating it and its the only hay he will eat! I tried buying hay from the pet store which is a bit softer and smells sweet but he wont touch it.
So my question is, is it okay to feed my bunny hay that is hard?

I know how important hay is for my bunny so i want to make sure this hay wont harm him in any way.
        Thank you!

It’s perfectly fine to feed hay like that, especially if he likes it! I’ve always found that type of hay to benefit their teeth better

Hi Yummyamalins. Have you tried Timothy hay yet? My bunnies love it and it’s supposed to be really really good for them. If you haven’t yet, I would definitely recommend it! Like you said, it does smell great and is a lot softer.

I agree with Limit, it’s fine for your rabbit. In fact, I’m currently using horse hay for my two, and it also has the hard, wood-like pieces in it.
