My bunny is a 3 month old minilop and his stomach has started growling recently. It sounds like when a humans stomach is making noises. It only happens in the morning though before I feed him and the sound is only made when he is running in the morning before he is fed kale, basil and pellets.I have noticed that his poops are a bit smaller than usual but he still does the same amount and he is peeing normally and drinking and eating normally. He is also acting normally although a few days ago he was pressing his tummy against the ground a few times but he isn’t doing that anymore.

It sounds like he had some gas. It might have passed already since you said he wasn’t pressing his stomach anymore. A bunny’s stomach is always gurgling but when once you can hear it without pressing your ear to his stomach it means he has gas (or something is wrong). Smaller poops means that he hasn’t been eating enough hay recently due to his gas. A tummy massage can help your rabbit, and some infant gas drops can be administered if the gas is still present. Gas can be dangerous sometimes and lead to his stasis so please be careful.

I’d switch to lettuce (or any salad, NOT iceberg salad)/ celery/fennel for a while because it might be kale is making him build up gas. Also massaging lightly the belly in slow circular motions can help him pass the gas he accumulated… if he keeps having the problem, do discuss with your vet about his diet and about the possibility to help him with mylicon drops

He has been eating normally but hasn’t pooped since around 5 hours ago. Should I take him to a vet?

To be sure he’s ok, I’d say yes. As a general rule, do ring the vet when you think something’s wrong, don’t “lose” time asking on the forum because the answer might not come on time if the bun’s sick for real. Let us know how he’s doing

Keep watching his fecal dropping and if there decreasing and if he’s still eating hay and his pellets cause if he’s having gas he could have the begging of Ileus/ GI stasis, watch out for diarrhea and low energy and abnormal behavior. You should be more concerned if he’s not eating his hay or his pellets because if he’s eating his salad and bunny treats those are just snack and not full of much nutrition and fiber for him. If you see any of these signs contact your vet so they can help you.

Take him to an emergency vet then. If he’s not pooping, you can’t wait til tomorrow.
