Eleanor, who is an unaltered female about 18months old, just met Dulcinea, who is about 2months old. We had a supervised intro. They sniffed each other for a bit then Ellie grabbed Dulci by her scruff. It seemed hard but there was no blood or even fur loss. Now Ellie is acting like a total diva, charging at the other animals *cats and dogs* – her friends for a year now – and clawing at Dulci’s cage when Dulci is in it. Did I wait too long to introduce a new rabbit into the house?

You should never introduce two unaltered rabbits. Even if one is altered and the other is not, the altered one will act hormonally due to the unaltered buns hormones in their scent. Youll need to spay them both then wait 2 months so they can heal and drain their hormones before you can introduce them. What you see happening is hormonal territory aggression, which will get worse

Mikey is right, two intact buns are likely to fight (and they can really hurt each other). The little one isn’t sexually mature yet, you can’t have her spayed until she’s about 6 months.

The fighting you’ve seen is (unfortunately, you might say) perfectly normal rabbit behavior. So it’s not sth you’ve caused, it’s just their highly territorial nature.
