        Hi all,

I’m in the UK, and struggling with finding good rabbit pet insurance. The options are very limited. So far, I’ve found:

HelpUCover, £9.79 per month per rabbit, £50 excess per condition per year. Includes dental if there are annual check ups.

PetPlan, £16.30 per month, per rabbit (although there does seem to be multi pet discount), £50 excess per condition per year. Doesn’t include trimming etc. of teeth.

ExoticDirect, £15.10 per month, per rabbit. £65 excess. Can’t see any specifics about dental.

These are the only ones I can find, and HelpUCover looks much better to me, mainly because of the dental. I’m a bit worried since its so much cheaper than the other two though. Does anyone have any experience with any of these, or can recommend anyone else?

        Thanks

I insure mine through PetPlan. I pay about £23 per month for my two, that includes a multi pet discount and discount for doing it online. I’ve had no issues with them. I recently had to claim for a stasis incident and got credited back the full amount minus £50 excess straight to my account within two weeks.

I’m not sure about the others but PetPlan also cover animals ‘for life’ meaning if your pet develops a condition, they cannot refuse to insure against that each year when it’s renewed.

Thanks for the reply! Have PetPlan covered any dental issues for you?

I’m just a bit worried since lots of rabbit plans seem to not include dental, but its also the problem they’re most likely to get!

The HelpUCover is also a lifetime plan.

I’ve not had any dental issues *touch wood*  so I’ve not queried it. I should check my policy…

You could always call them and ask, if you decide to go for it just make sure you double check your policy when you receive it within the cooling off period 🙂

Thanks, calling them probably is the sensible answer!

Anyone have any experience with this in the US? We just paid $900 for Silas making it seem like a much more attractive option.
