Okay, so a few days ago my rabbit was acting off. Normally, he’ll jump straight out of his cage when he has the chance, and bounce around happily. But for some reason, he was staying in the corner of his cage. When I went to stroke him, his ears were cold, and he didn’t want to eat or drink. He wasn’t sneezing or coughing, just acting weird. He also let me pick him up, without him trying to scramble away, which was worrying. However, I woke up in the middle of the night to find him on me, licking me jumping off the bed to hop around. We cancled the appointment we had with the vet, and left him. Now, after a few days, he’s acting exactly the same as before. He’s still refusing to eat or drink. He looks like he might be dizzy, and i’m just worried for him. He’s a house rabbit, so he wouldn’t of been able to catch anything from outside. We’ve already take him to the vet, they took a blood test and it came back a little bit high but nothing serious. What should I do?

Had he produced any poops when he was lethargic and not eating/drinking the first or second time? It could have been a bit of gas (or stasis) that he was able to pass in the middle of the night. When the vet took blood, did they also take an x-ray? Keep a written log of his behavior and what he has eaten (ie. certain veggies or different food) during this period so that you can give the vet as much information as possible. If his ears feel cold, it is important to keep him warm so that his temperature does not drop too much, which could result in shock. Try using a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel and put it next to him, or give him some extra blankets. What is he doing when you say he looks like he might be dizzy? (ie. falling over, stumbling?)

I agree that your bunny may have been having some bouts of gas or stasis. Do you keep infant simethicone drops on hand? They are very helpful and completely safe.

It’s also possible that your bunny has an ear infection. That can cause dizziness or unsteadiness and can also account for decreased appetite. Did the vet check inside his ears?
