        Hi,

I’m looking for some ideas for what to line a 2 story (store brought) cage with for a rabbit that has 3 legs.  Sadly my bun was attacked by a parasite and despite our best efforts, we were not able to save his front left leg.  He is doing fine, but somewhat unstable as you might imagine!

He currently lives in a 2 story house.  The top level is lined with plastic and the bottom is just plain plywood.  He has been up/down the ramp once or twice and can seem to manage it.

I need to find something that can give him more traction!  Especially on the top floor he is struggling to stay put.

I’ve seen ideas for cardboard, lino, carpet, rubber mats etc on here, and wondered if anyone had any specific hints to help with a 3 legged bun that are easy to clean.  Right now he is on towels

        Thanks

If he is not a chewer or easily susceptible to sore hocks a woven rug over towels can give him traction.

I personally don’t have much experience with buns missing legs but if he doesn’t chew it memory foam mats could work. (But I don’t know how much traction that’d actually give.)
