I have a young lionhead giant cross that I call Honey, she is white and absoluty adorable.

I have four Bunnies all together. My girls have free run in over 5000 sq ft of out door space with their hutches and hidy holes, they are happy girls.

Unfortunatly, Honey has lost full function of her front paws, she initially started shaking them as if she were about to clean herself, but then it changed, everytime she moves around she shakes her paws, and no longer sits on them, I originally thought that she had injured herself running in the paddock.

Thankfully she has her best bud with her, they clean each other, she eats well and has no issues staying clean or with pooping and peeing.

Has anyone every heard of “Front”, paw issues.

Front paw issues are more rare than hind leg issues. There are a nr of things that could be the reason for this, f ex spinal or nerve injury, a stroke or possibly e cuniculi. EC is a microscopic parasite that’s very common in rabbits, but most rabbits don’t get sick from it. Some do get sick though, and the parasite tends to attack the organs with the highest bloodflow, such as the brain, the kidneys and the heart. You often get neuro symptoms, the most well known is head tilt. You treat with the dewormer Panacur for 28 days.

It is mysterious that both paws are affected though. If she was a human I’d suspect carpal tunnel syndrome. Rabbits have carpal tunnels but I’ve never heard of a rabbit getting carpal tunnel syndrome.

Hopefully other people here have some clues as to what is going on.

If this has been ongoing, I’d suggest a visit to your vet.
