Hello there fellow bunny mums i have noticed that my sweetums has slight damp patches in the corners of her eyes nothing major and she also has a slight wet nose on and off over the oast couple days but she does have a big hay box which she loves to dig and stick her head in. Is the wet eyes and nose due to the hay or should i be concerned?

Not necessarily. I’d take her to the vet. Could be a sinus/respiratory infection, especially if it involves the nose. Eyes alone could be dental or bacterial, but I’d get her to the vet to get the bacterial ruled out. You can get her teeth checked at the same time. could be pasteurella. Typically, you’ll get a few weeks of SMZ or baytril, and if after the full course the runnies don’t clear up, then your vet will start looking at other causes. While it could be hay dust – it could also be something that requires medication to treat. You probably won’t have a bacterial culture done – in my experience, antibiotics are the first thing prescribed to rule out a bacterial infection.
