i’m really worried about Charlie right now. She comes in my bed every night with me to hang out while i do homework or whatever and then goes back into her room when I go to bed. she often puts up a fight about going back but i usually can pick her up. tonight she was bouncing all over the place and would not let me pick her up. I had just carried her in two hours earlier and she wasn’t any more difficult that usual. After like 15 minutes of trying to move her from my room to her room i finally got her in but she has me really nervous. she was grunting when i would try to pick her up from my bed which she does sometimes if she doesn’t want to go and now in her room she’s breathing really fast and flipping down on the hardwood spots on the floor. should i be concerned or do you think it’s from her being freaked out that i moved her? i’m afraid to leave her. she seems like her breathing has calmed down a little and she got up and hopped around and then flopped back down. sorry for the long post but i’m a little freaked out

she isn’t fixed and has definitely been showing more attitude lately – not sure if that could have anything to do with it.

        thanks for any help

Grunting while you try to pick her up does signify that she is upset at you and doesnt like what youre doing/doesnt like to be picked up. Do you have a better/easier way to transfer her from room to room, or can you bunnyproof the room she is in so there is no carrying involved at all?

Since you said she was bouncing around and very energetic, the heavy breathing would likely be from her using so much energy

her room is completely bunny proofed. she has the run of a whole room – maybe i’m just crazy but i feel like she would want to get out! i’ve been taking her into my bed every night since i got her months ago and will bring her into another room to explore as a kind of “change of scenery”
maybe she would be happier if i just left her in her room and didn’t move her around? i just feel bad, i feel like we bond a lot when she comes in bed with me

Yep, sounds like shes starting to get a little irritated with being moved around so much. Try to make her visiting your room a special treat only once in a while for her You can always head into her room and lay around with her there to bond as well
