I am a new bun mama & new to the forums as well. Our bun’s name is Marley Quinn. We chose what we consider to be a gender neutral name because we’ve heard it’s very difficult to be certain about a baby bun’s gender. Anyway, She is just about 8-10 weeks. We got her earlier this week. She seems to be very calm and sweet, and also curious. She has no problem coming up to me and sniffing me, giving me nose boops, and then getting scooped up. She generally relaxes on my tummy and gets pet until she feels ready to explore, then it’s on. She loves playing on the couch or on the bed, she hops and grooms and comes back and forth sniffing my husband and myself. I’m a bit nervous when she plays in the floor because she starts to hop faster and we’re not quite bunny proofed yet. As soon as we get our extra room back, we intend to make it a safe and fun bunny paradise. We also have cats, whom she has seemed to take a surprising liking to. She hops right up to them and sniffs and boops them too! They let her sniff, and sniff a little back, but then act like they are scared of little old her. Obviously she is constantly supervised, but so far my cats have always done great with small animals. We’ve had rats, mice, hamsters, gerbils and guinea pigs in the past. I’ve really always wanted a bunny, but only now have we felt we had the space and time to devote enough attention to giving one a proper life.

Adorable! She’s so tiny! I too have a cat, and a word of advice: when you turn around to move and you don’t see that your cat is in the way, he/she usually moves out of your way; when you turn around to move and you don’t see that your bun is in the way, your bun won’t move so be careful!   When I first got Luna I almost stepped on her several times because she’d be across the room and stealthily run up behind me without me noticing.

I will definitely have to be super careful because I know buns are fragile. But my cats don’t move out of the way either—i have just learned the shuffle my feet so instead of stepping on them I just kick them a little lol! BTW Luna is my calico cat’s name!
