        Hey there!

So we’ve decided to get a second bunny and I had a question about the housing situation. Do the cages need to be side by side or could I house them on top of eachother with no access to eachother? What are your guys’ thoughts? We live in a small apartment…prepared to have them side by side but could save some square footage if they are on top of eachother.

        Thanks

Are you planning to bond them? If so, it may be beneficial for them to see each other? Though a few inches between is recommended to avoid facial injuries in the case of fights through the bars or if they aren’t fixed, other things through the bars!

I wouldn’t put them on top of each other. If you did, you’d have to pick the bun in the top one up every time you let them roam. It’s better to let them come out on their own so side by side on the ground is best.
