Whenever he has the chance, my 1yr old bun will always nibble/chew on my shirt for very long! He likes to climb onto my belly and chews my shirt like it’s gum!! He has never shown any signs of aggression and he’s not much of a chewer but he’s been doing this for quite a while and I’m wondering what he’s trying to do?

Sometimes rabbits do this as a sign of wanting to be pet (or pet more). Wick does this to my shirt when I take a break from petting him or if I’m petting him in a kinda lazy way. He’ll bite at my hairband on my wrist and dig/bite my shirt.

Malibu does the same thing when he is bored. make sure your bun has plenty of things to manipulate or play with sometimes they might do it for attention

Guin will bite my thigh if I’m kneeling, or my heel, or my shoe, most often in the mornings. She is super exited to see me, and wants immediate petting. If I stand too close to her hidey hole cardboard box, she’ll nip my shoes. It’s not aggression, just “pet me”, or “move”.

Haha Buttercup has recently started pulling on my pj bottoms and my shirts sometimes, and my waistband  There’s not an aggressive bone in her body, I’d say it’s just normal bunny behaviour. Peanut prefers to dig at my pj bottoms rather than chew. It’s a bun thing.

Well I have to say that Guin has me trained… When I step into the room, I first eye out a spot to put down whatever is in my hands, and pet her. as long as I’m petting her and not standing in front of her hidey hole, I won’t get bit 🙂
