So EC , passes in urine and spores (?) so breathing it in? As in other bun smelling the urine up close or travelling spores ?
I ask for two reasons – one should Oakley be kept on opposite side of lounge or is cages next to each other unable to touch enough space he can’t catch it ( obviously hygiene is important at all times but how close of contact do they have to be for risk ?)
Also for me – I’m immunocompromised which means I must at risk with it unlike humans who aren’t immuno comp – I use great hygiene and I do not change Boston’s tray or clean up his accidents ( other half has that duty for Boston incase of me getting it ) but if I pick him up and smell his bunny smell in as bunny people do ( haha ) I surely aren’t at risk ??

The spores in the urine can be inhaled if the urine dries and the spores are very resistant in the enviroment. I’d discuss with my vet if Oakley should be treated too, preventatively, with fenbendazole (Panacur).

As for yourself, this should absolutely be discussed with your doctor. If you are on immunosuppressing drugs, it’s extra important. Only you and your doctor know to what degree you are immunocompromized.
