charlie has developed some undesirable behavior lately. She was litter trained for a while and then started peeing small spots on the carpet here and there. It seems like she’s peeing on the carpet more and more. one big spot that almost looks like she just peed everything she had and many small spots on the carpet. she’s also started tearing apart the newspaper in her litter box which is probably more boredom overnight – not too concerned about that. my main concern is the pee. any ideas? i’ve read UTI but she’s not acting any different and it’s yellow. could t be because she’s not fixed? i vacuum her room every few days and she acts a little weird for a few hours.. any suggestions? am i intruding on her space?

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a hormonal behavior and she is marking. My other concern would be a uti, buns are great at hiding symptoms when they don’t feel good, your vet can easily check for an infection

Any type of behavioral changes like that usually indicate a trip to the vet. Just to be safe. When my bunny got sick he began peeing & pooping on the rug when he previously had fairly good potty habits. But since your bunny isn’t spayed it could be that as well. Have you had any new bunnies or pets or made any big changes to her area? Either way I would take her to the vet for a check up.

I’d take her to a vet. My bunny had a UTI with yellow urine. The color of the urine really depends on what they are eating. While sometimes UTI urine is darker than normal, this isn’t always the case.
