We are leaving town for a week and I’m worried about bunny. We keep her in an area that she has plenty of room to hop around (it’s a bathroom and a hallway that’s been bunny proofed). She has a cage in there and we keep the door open at all times so she can hop around her little space any time. We also give her time everyday to run around a large room, but I always have to supervise because she isn’t really litter trained in the big room (the little stinker goes potty NEXT to her litter box, but not IN her litter box….in her cage/area, she always goes in the litter box). Anyway, we’ll be gone for a week and I have a neighbor that can come feed her twice a day, but I’m not sure about what to do to give her time to play in the big room…..or if she’ll just be okay in her little area for just that week. OR should I send her to my neighbor’s house? What do you do when you leave town?

When I go out of town my bun will either go stay at her house, usually if we are gone more then a day or two. If it’s only a short trip or a long day that no one is home I have my mom come over and sit with her for a few hours so she can run. Amelia has really good litter box habits so that’s not a worry we have, we just want to be sure she gets enough run and play time

I think if she has a bathroom and hallway she will be fine. A lot of bunnies have way less space than that. She may be a little miffed at the change in her routine so expect some bunny butt when you get home.
