Since my girl was spayed almost a month ago, she has become disinterested in her pellets.  She will eat them eventually but she used to just devour them!  I’m wondering if she is bored with that brand and maybe I should try something new?

Currently she eats Oxbow Adult rabbit food.  Anyone know of a different brand that their bunny enjoys?  (I want to stay away from the colourful foods).  Thanks!

I have Fibafirst for my bun. Supreme science selective has good rabbit food. Oxbow makes one organic rabbit food. Buy a small bag for starters and see if she likes it. It’s smart to stay away from the mueslis and the colorful foods. Buns are selective feeders so they shouldn’t get the types of food that allow them to pick out just the tastiest bits, it makes their diet unbalanced.

Here’s a chart of bunny feed with comparisons of their nutritional contents:

My Jake gets the Oxbow Essentials Adult Rabbit formula with just a pinch (less than a tablespoon) of some cheaper pellets (Hartz Small Animal Diet) put into the 4 cup tin I pour his daily 1/4c from. I add that pinch for a bit of variety. He isn’t a fussy bun or anything but he is OBSESSED with pellet time

I use Oxbow Natural Science Adult Pellets. I think they’re pretty good. Btw for a few weeks after my girl was spayed, she wasn’t as interested in her pellets (which at the time were junior pellets that she normally wolfed down)

I have used Oxbow organic and Natural Science. Then I used Small Pet Select. Now I’m switching them over to Sherwood, but I still have a few bags of Small Pet Select, so I’m giving them a 50/50 mix.

I’m in canada. It seems like there are not a lot of healthy options in the pet stores. A lot of the bags of food have raisins and other bits and bites mixed in, so oxbow seemed to be the best option. I’m not opposed to ordering from amazon or something to get other brands though.
