So, my two buns (sykur and layli) have been bonded for a little over a month now. Prior to bonding, both of them were very well litter box trained, and when I set up their x pen they would hop into one of their cages and do their business. However, now that they live together in a bunny condo they’ve nearly lost their litter training! Even though most of it ends up in the litter box, im finding 10+ poops per floor and occasionally pee, and they pee and poop all over the edges of the xpen when it’s open to them… I don’t know what to do!

That sounds territorial. With the new bonding, maybe they’re still working it out. I think I’d try limiting their space (confine them to just the smallish ex pen) until they are 100% with pee in the litter box.

Are you sure the litter box is big enough? And is it clean enough? But not too clean (they need to know that it’s where they should go)? Sometimes those factors can influence success in the box.

Edit to add: my bonded pair prefer a high-sided cat litter box. No more pee over the sides!

Oh dear – definitely try reducing their space – go back to square one – reduce space, once there is 100% success rate, give them a little bit more space and so on.

If they knew how to do it once, they should remember very quickly

Yes, make sure it is big enough – I have two litter trays now, for two buns. Ideally of course I’d like just one…. but “bunnies rule” !!
