Hello! This is my first bunny. She is a black broken Holland Lop born on December 22nd 2016. I’ll be getting her a proper cage tomorrow. But is this safe and okay for one night? The hay is local hay, will the hay or dust cause any problems? From what I can see the hay has no dust but just checking. Also can I see everyones cage set up? Thank you!

Ive inserted the photo for you. After a file has uploaded, just click on the “insert image” icon to get the photo to show in your post.

I can’t quite tell what she is in. Is it an aquarium or plastic box? It should be okay for overnight, but I would make certain to top is something that is well ventilated. So a grid of some sort.
You might like to add a little hidey box in there for her.
            She looks very sweet.

ETA: Just some additional advice about buying a cage. Do try get the largest you can afford. She wont stay this little forever. Also, cages are often sold as a kit with wood or paper bedding and a corner style litter box. Those boxes are okay when they are really young but they soon grow too big for them. I would try get a rectangular cat size litter box instead. And the bedding isn’t necessary. Just by putting litter in the litterbox, she should start using it right away. Having bedding covering the rest of the cage often has the rabbit toileting over the whole cage like it’s one big litterbox.

Here is some info on safe and unsafe types of litter. http://rabbit.org/faq-litter-training-2/

Thank you so much! Its a aquarium with a wire mesh on top, so I hope it stays well ventilated!

It should do. And she’ll only be in there for a short time. It’s when these glass enclosures ( like you’ll sometimes see in pet stores) have aromatic wood bedding in them that it causes some respiratory issues and runny eyes.
                The hay looks nice!

Oh good! Im so glad I did the right bedding and such, I really want her to be as happy as possible. What do you think about this cage set up? Id probably get one that’s a bit bigger though

That looks good. Does that cage have a front opening door also? It would be good for allowing a rabbit to get in and out the cage themselves at times.
