I have a 4 year old Lionhead who has been an absolute angel since I got him 3 years ago. The only issue I’ve ever had with him is his obsession for cords… he has free roam of the house and always has. He recently started digging and flipping his littler box and sometimes his food dish. After he empties his litterbox he gets in it and does his business like a good boy. Problem is he’s got a long skirt/underside sometimes so it makes quite a mess of his privates if theres no litter in the box… is there any obvious reason he is acting out!?! His cage and litterbox is plenty big a shop he is only 2.75 pounds. Thas been no recent food change/litter change/housing change! He is still playful and happy and laying on the couch waiting for me when I get home. Has anyone experienced this with a free running rabbit?

It could be a random act-up of hormones (does anyone else know if that’s normal for four-year-old buns? I sure don’t), trying to get your attention if you’ve been lacking lately, or just purely out of boredom. My buns did this, I gave them some new toys (unfamiliar cardboard boxes and one of those logic toys) and they quit shortly thereafter.

He may have decided it’s a “fun” game
