Please help I’m panicking right now, my rabbit’s room has mold. I read somewhere to remove mold I should spray tea tree oil to find out later these are toxic to bunnies! I can’t get someone to fix the mold, will my bunny die from inhaling the tea tree oil?

Take the bun out of the room with the tea tree oil and air it out thoroughly. Can your bunny stay in your room instead?

Tea tree oil won’t fix mold in a room. Mold is a serious problem in a house. Nobody should live in a moldy room, not humans, not animals.

If you can’t fix it right now, the only option would be to put a “Band-Aid” on the situation. Remove your bunny from the room, clean the visible mold with bleach, then paint over everything with a mold-inhibiting paint like Kilz. That will not solve the problem permanently. The mold will eventually come back because it’s likely growing through the drywall from the other side. Ultimately, the only way to get rid of the mold permanently is to gut the room. If it’s in one room though, it’s probably in others. And the attic too.
