I am new to this site, new to bunnies and happy to have found this site! I have two bunnies, 7 months old, approximately. I got them from a large family that had too many animals about 3 months ago. The black and white one is Nelly and is so friendly and loving with a fun spirited personality. Mae is sweet but reserved and shy. She may just need more bonding time which is fine of course. I had them in a make shift area made with a large play gate but just put together a multi level cage with 3 boxes of wire cube organizers and they love it!

I am a mom to 3 boys ages 11, 10 and 6. They are so good at helping keep them fed, clean and played with.

I look forward to getting to know everyone! Thank you for reading!

Welcome welcome!! I’m sure they’re both welcomed additions to the family, and Nelly and Mae love having you as a part of their circle too!

Thank you all for the warm welcome! I only have my cell phone for internet access atm so I’m still figuring out the pic posting process.
@Luna the ppl I got them from said they’re siblings but they had to be wrong. They couldn’t look more different! Mae looks like a lion head and Nelly, well I’m just not sure. Shes larger, black and white, slender, shorter fur and lovely long slender ears. Mae is a creamy tan color with brown ears and features, rounder like a fluffy ball and shorter ears.

Hi Inanna and a big welcome to you and your family, furry and un-furry !!!
You don’t mention if the girls are spayed.

If the girls are not spayed, siblings or not, they really should be for health reasons (uterine cancer).

And they absolutely must be spayed if you want to bond them safely and successfully.

Very soon (if not now) they will come into adolescence and hormones will take over.

                      But WELCOME !!

Sorry for the VERY delayed reply! My internet was so bad I gave up! But now is up and running…

Brought buns to the doc’s, and I was lied to VERY badly… Nelly is a BOY! So I left him overnight and he was “readjusted” first thing the next morning. He is doing well. Lucky thing, is Mae IS fixed so there was no worries about bun babies. Whew!

lol, – I wouldn’t say that you were lied to,.. its common, for a lot of people, to misjudge a rabbits gender. – Happy note, I’m glad he got ” attended to ” if you mean by getting neutered lol – that, will help you out a lot actually, with some wacky bunny behaviors lol – cant wait to hear more about your two! – Cheers
