Took Mr. Bun Bun to see the vet in prep for his neuter scheduled for March 7th.

He had bright pink skin at the base of his ears so I brought it up to the vet and he looked it over and it goes up onto one ear as well.

He said its not infected and to just keep an eye on it. I don’t know how its getting irritated. I don’t think he could get his foot up to the center on the base of his ears? Maybe on the ear he could be I have my doubts about that too because its just above said base.

Vet said very healthy, good looking coat, good heart and lungs. So we set the neuter up.

Im worried about the irritation. Should I just wait and see / keep an eye on it? Or should I put something on it and if so what?

I have antibiotic cream, diaper rash cream, cortisone cream. Or could buy something else if it would help.

Did the vet consider mites? You would normally see flaky skin as well if it was mites. Revolution can be used to treat mites.

Otherwise, they can certainly reach the base of their ear with their back feet when they’re scratching.

He never mentioned mites. I never see him itching. Im with him about 8-10 hours a day at least.
