        Hello,

So i am really new to the bunny scene and i am unsure how to even bond. Blake and the two babies i kept are well nipping at my new lop buns. They are all neutered so i am unsure what is going on. They do roam in my living room but blake nor the others will nip or bite when i am around but as soon as i turn my back the chase behins. Right now i have them in the same cage at night but it has a divider so they cannot reach their head in to nip. How should i go about bonding the three females with my female lop and male lop ( recent rescue)

The most important is that you are using 100% neutral territory to start your bonding sessions. Are you using an area that no bunny has access to? Like a bathtub?

If you haven’t already, I highly recommend starting by reading the Bonding Info here on BB in the Bunny Info section. It’s a good place to start. Bonding 2 bunnies can be difficult, bonding a group can sometimes be very difficult so I recommend you do all the research you can.

I’m not very experienced with bonding but hopefully someone else can give more advice.

Yep, I have read them all and have been trying the bath tub and even outside in a small play pen but so far same effects

Well nipping has nothing to do with hormones so being neutered wouldn’t have an effect on that. Nipping is one way that bunnies communicate.

I’m confused tho, are they all free roaming your living room? They should only be put together for bonding sessions in neutral area and you definitely shouldn’t turn your back on them.

SO update: they have stopped sorta nipping at each other in the bath tub. But as soon as I place them into a bigger area Blake nips and starts to chase lola immediately. Even in the car she is fine they will not nip but cuddle but as soon as she is on the ground the chasing and fighting begins
