        Hello all,

just thought i’d post this as it is pretty neat. I recently found an ad on Ebay for a seed mixture of 24 native UK  grasses and dicots  which can be grown on to produce rabbit food. A very intriguing concept and could greatly enrich their diet and bolster their overall health. I’m not sure what the policy is on linking products so I wont, but the seller is ‘Shelledwarrior’ and the seed mixtures come in packs of 10grams for the price of £2 freepost. I believe some species in the mix will also grow indoors in a windowsill (which I’m going to test )

Thought I’d post the outcome. This is the result of using half of the packet and growing in an east window. The pot is 6 by 18 inches at the top. This has been trimmed a few times already too. It’s neat being able to trim some off whenever it gets too big and still have it grow back. Autumn loves the off cuts, she’ll stand straight up when she hears the scissors and beg

Looks delicious . Luna does the same thing when she hears the cat food hit the bowl! (she knows she’s about to get pellets because her and the cat eat at the same time).

It’s like they have a memory especially for remembering sounds of food that’s goes something like this: Turn- stare- stampede! (and a nip if your too slow)

Lol, I don’t even think Luna takes the time to stare – she just stampedes.
