So, I was sitting on my bed, putting some lotion on my hands, when Juliet jumped up. I went to put her down, and my hands had a big glop of lotion on them. I got a wet washcloth and wiped her off as best as I could, I think I got most of it off. The lotion is Aveeno body yoghurt. Will she be alright?

How much did she eat? Was it a glob of lotion or residue on her fur that she licked off? I think she should be okay if it was the latter.

She didn’t eat the glob, I tried again and got almost all of it off. I hope she will be ok.

That’s good. I think she’ll be fine. She must’ve thought the lotion smelled good and hopped up to take a look .

It smells great, she has tried to eat it before.

My rabbit often grooms me when we hang out but I’m worried if I had applied lotion onto my skin earlier that him licking me is not safe ?? do you think it would harm him ??

Hi, ornfour and welcome to BB! We ask that members please not respond to old threads (this one is from 2017) as it can cause confusion and these members may no longer be active.

To answer your question, I would avoid him licking you if you have recently applied lotion. But really depends on what is in it. Most lotions contain scents or essential oils that could be harmful to a bunny. He’s not ingesting a lot, obviously, so hard to say whether it would actually harm him but I would play it safe and try to avoid it.
