If he enjoys being held, then it is okay to hold him. If he shows any signs of stress or discomfort while being held, then just put him down. When my rabbit was a baby, she enjoyed being held. She grew out of it, so your rabbit can too. When it comes to rabbits, it’s all about understanding their body language. Every rabbit likes different things so just watch his behavior or body language to find out what he likes and dislikes.

At 6 weeks he is probably scared and feeling very alone. Rabbits should still be with their mum and siblings until at least 8 weeks. He probably wants to be held as it helps keep him warm and makes him feel safe. If he wants to be held, there’s no reason not to hold him, just make sure he’s getting regular time down to eat, drink and poop etc. He will probably grow out of the wanting to be held phase.
