I have 2 mini Rex rabbits, Bo and Luke, and they have been together since birth. They have been kept together since day 1, but recently they have been fighting a lot more. I’ve tried scaring them to stop, light water squirts but nothing seems to be working. I love my boys and don’t want it to come to the point where I have to give one up. Please help!

You should separate them right away, then get them neutered. After about a month, you can start rebonding them.

Two adult males will invariably fight and they can severely injure each other, even kill each other. They can only be together if they are neutered. Don’t wait until the fighting has gotten worse – rabbits hold grudges and rebonding might become impossible.

While your buns are separated they should ideally be in the same room so they can see and hear and smell each other.

I agree with Bam, they need to be separated as soon as possible. Keep their cages a little bit apart so that they can’t bite each other through the bars. Have them neutered and at least one month after surgery you can start to try and rebond them. It may not work, but it will be your only chance at keeping them together. If you continue to let them be together now, one may be killed.
