Me and my wife had 2 different litters from 2 does same buck accidental. 3 bunnies died unexpectedly within the hour. I monitored them and 1 bunnies stomach was gurgling loud and didn’t last long. The 2nd one was just seizing up which took us off guard cause he was our strongest and healthiest one. And the 3rd one heart beating fast for no reason tried to calm him down gave him water gave him medicine for his stomach that is bunny safe and lasted the longest but still passed. We don’t know why and what caused it. They are not our first bunnies either because we have 4 mature adult bunnies and 4 teenagers in a way if that’s the correct term. 2 of those teenagers 1 was almost gone heart beating fast but got it back in good condition and now is eating slowly and recovering slowly in a good way drinking water. The 2nd is calm but still loose I guess but still fighting and believe he can make it as well. We need help badly please. All this happened 9:30-10pm in Ca which is really late for us and nearest vet is a 3hr drive from where we are at. We are LOVE our bunnies to Death and have a blast and first time this has happened to us. I understand that you will say make the drive but I am currently in the military and wouldn’t want my wife driving due to her pregnancy with our first child along the way. So please all the help is needed thank you ?

Im sorry for all the losses you’ve faced. Even though there were not meant to be babies, it is still sad to see them not make it.

How old were the kits that died? How old are the Does? Would this have been their first litter? Do you know what breed or breed mix the Does and your Buck are? (Some breeds are known to have more difficulty with litters).

2 of those teenagers 1 was almost gone heart beating fast but got it back in good condition and now is eating slowly and recovering slowly in a good way drinking water. The 2nd is calm but still loose I guess but still fighting and believe he can make it as well.

Just to clarify, this was when they were younger or have they fallen ill at same time the babies did?
