Hi! Nibbles is a very social bun who likes to hang out me and my kids in the living room but has started, well, nibbling my son. She usually comes up to us and noses us to get our attention or to move us if we are in her way. Last night we were all sitting on the floor watching TV and petting her when she came up to us. For some reason, she starting biting my son’s ankles. He moved in case he was in her way but she followed him and went after his ankles again! She likes my son, he plays with her, rebuilds her ‘bowling alley’ after she knocks it down, and gives her pellets. This morning when he came downstairs she went running up to him, sniffed his socks and starting nibbling! She even chased him around the room! It’s only with him, she’s not going after anyone else. Is she trying to get him to play? Boss him around? Does she think he needs to change his socks??? 🙂
She’s around 2, is spayed, and has been with us for about 9 months now. My son is 9 and very gentle with Nibbles (and the cats) and spends a good amount of time talking to and hanging out with her. Any thoughts??? thanks!

Is she pinching or hurting him? My buns use their teeth gently on me, and it’s affectionate. It could be that your boy is Nibbles’s favorite person and she’s showing him special attention bunny style.

Could it be attention? My Blue will sometimes rub his teeth on me if he wants attention and im not noticing him enough. It will feel like a nibble, but he is really just sliding his teeth across my skin

Thank you! It is more of a light nibble than a bite, so maybe she is being friendly or looking for attention.
She seems to become more and more relaxed the longer she is with us. ?
