With the weather changing very suddenly from bitterly cold to springlike, everybun has spent the past two days out in the garden, and everybun is now moulting at once

Mini is the worst, with a truly megamoult

he is also undergoing a major colour change on his sides, from dark chocolate colour to almost blonde

That’s a bona fide molt-monster! It’s too dark now to get a good pic of Bam, but he too is shedding like there’s no tomorrow. His fluff is also a light gray like Mini’s.

Last year, I think Reese’s moult got messed up. She still has a weird line of fur on her back like a little cap.

This is from last year (She does not like to be brushed, so I have to pull fluffs of fur out by hand!):

As you can tell by my milky white pale skin, I never wear shorts (Always jeans)! I just put those pants on in order to catch fur with them.

                  2 mini moulters. Soo cute!!

I can see a moult line on Reese in the siggy pic. Would that be from last year, ReeseBun.

Gooseman is by far the worse moulter in my household at the moment. Poor guy looks awfully scruffy.

Same here, Breintje also has had a line halfway his back since the end of his autumn moult.

Moult season is definitely here, says Ellie while being covered in fur. Breintje has been very cuddly this week, and I gently started to pluck at his Lemmy mustache. It nearly came out completely, and Breintje thanked me by licking my hands furiously. Moulting must itch I suppose.

Every time I think about moulting I think about that store owner in Frozen: Yooohooo, big summer blow-out!

Yikes, after a couple of weeks of yes/no/yes?: we have moult… And it’s a big one this time. Not some loose tufts here and there, but a full-blown shedding all over his body. Like: petting him for a minute, and ending up with a huge pile of hair on the couch.

I feel so ashamed now that I plucked him a week ago, I’m so sorry. He had a lot of loose tufts on his rear, and I got out a lot of loose fur by plucking gently. He didn’t struggle, so I thought I wasn’t hurting him. During a long round of brushing today I found out that he had 3 bald spots near his tail and his hips. I’m so sorry, will it grow back? Have I hurt him?
