        Hello,
My name is arnav and i’ve got tow bunnies, Nuli is the male and Lola ia the female.
I really like the idea they run out free in my living room and hanging out on the couch but recently Lola peed and pooped on the couch, she picked a specific spot. I cleaned it and put some vinegar (because i red it helps). From then every time i sit on this specific spot she come to me and start dig, bite and poop on me ( i guess she doesnt like the fact i sits there). Last night she pooped and peed again! On this specific spot and on a very expensive blanket now for my qustion, i thaught to live her in the cage today for that, and let only Nuli get out, is that ok? Or she will sense it and remember it for me? How can i teach her not to do that again?
        Thank you

No, that is cruel. She will not make the connection that peeing on the sofa = being kept cooped up. So it wouldn’t work anyway. Lots of bunnies like to pee on sofas, it’s not unusual and she may be claiming the sofa as hers. Best you can do is stop allowing her on there or use a cheaper blanket  Do not keep her locked up all day to ‘teach her a lesson’ That is awful.

Is Lola spayed? If not, the peeing and pooping on your sofa may be territorial, and spaying will help with that, plus it’s obvious health benefits.

You may need to block off your sofa somehow or place a plastic shower curtain on it, which would likely make Lola not want to stay up there due to the slick surface, and it would also protect any fabric from getting peed on. Don’t lock her up in a cage. If she jumps up on the sofa, set her back down on the floor.

Even though the procedure might sound scary at first, spaying & neutering is what’s best for a rabbit. It calms their hormonal urges, generally makes them less aggressive, less bossy & territorial, etc.

It sounds like your male isn’t neutered, besides your female not being spayed. If they are at least 12 weeks old, they should be housed separately and not allowed to play together either. They would need to have separate out of cage time for play and exercise. Otherwise, you are going to end up with an unwanted litter of bunnies. Some people even end up with 2 litters, because they didn’t realize that the female was pregnant and they kept her with the male. A rabbit can get pregnant immediately after giving birth.
