        Hey guys,

I have had one rabbit for a while now and got him a companion but she’s very nervous.

I’ve lay in the cage with her for many many hours and she’ll eat out of my hand but a lot of the time when I pet her, she flinches and runs away. I’ve managed to pick her up twice, first time was to bond and the next time I brought her on to watch tv with us and she was totally fine until I put her back. We’ve had her for over a month now and I just don’t know how we’re going to bond them, if we can’t get her out of her cage without terrifying her.

Ps. She’s spayed and every thing, the issue isn’t bonding, it’s how to get her to trust me so i can get her bonding with the other lad.

        Thanks,
        James

Taming rabbits will take much time. I have one rabbit and it took almost 2 months to create a bond between us. Within the first week, I tried to lift her and she scratched my hands. Then I was patient with her and slowly I started tapping her back when she eats, then I used to feed her with my hands and when she comes near me, I used to caress her. Slowly she trusted me and now I can lift her and she’s not scared of me.
