So operation meet the dog is underway. Every night while I’m cooking dinner, i fence off kitchen/dining room from living room. My daughter and her poodle are on living room side and me and bun are on kitchen side. Bun is not bothered by dog at all. He only thumped once and we realized it wad because dog had on his cone. Once we took that off he was fine. They touch noses at the fence. It’s going to be a long process but the dog is getting calmer the more used to the bunny he becomes.

I’m going to try to attach a picture.

Slowly slowly – you know your dog and his reactions – once his ears go back in ‘OHHH! he’s FAMILY !! That’s OK then !!’ – then you will be on your way…

          Can’t wait for the piccies.

Wednesday is the day i look forward to the least. My daughter had class from 9 to 1 and then works from 4 to 8. She comes home in between but it’s still a long day for me with a very demanding job, a dog recuperating from being neutered and blowing out his stitches, and then my sweet bun who gets lonely when I’m away.

So today i brought Theo upstairs at 3 with kitchen and dining fenced off from living room. I worked in living room with dog but i could see and talk to Theo too. So dog was very well behaved. Theo seemed happy and i had no guilt. Daughter came home and played with Theo. She rarely sees him due to her puppy and she just adores Theo. So this is working out well.

I have no intention of putting them together any time soon. Lots of time seeing each other through the fence, well supervised. Dog is always wearing leash just in case.

After dog and daughter go to bed, itake down fence and Theo and i hang out in living room. Of course Theo peed on sofa twice. Little poophead. So it’s a bit of a set up, fencing off living room then moving fence to tv area then pee pads on everything. Lol. But i have great fun and i really miss my bun when he’s not with me
